Turner A. Rouse served as a sworn police officer for seven years for the City of Bloomington, Illinois before attending law school. Mr. Rouse is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law at Carbondale, Illinois. He began private practice in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he tried jury cases to verdict solo in state and federal court. His clients included defendants in state and federal court, interstate trucking companies, and victims of medical malpractice. Turner returned to Illinois, where he defended medical professionals and product liability claims and later represented plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. In 2005 after serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, he started his own solo practice representing state and federal criminal defendants and plaintiffs in personal injury and worker’s compensation cases.
Colonel Rouse retired from the U.S. Army Reserve at the rank of Colonel (0-6) with over 20 years combined active duty and reserve service which included service in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Army. He has years of jury trial experience, in state and federal courts. In 2015 he began practicing in Panama City, Florida. While practicing in Panama City, he obtained three separate six figure settlements, and one eight figure settlement for his clients. In November of 2020, Turner moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, and opened his own practice. In 2021 he obtained a seven-figure settlement for a client as a result of a propane discharge and fire. From April 2022 through April 2024, Turner served as a part-time Charlotte County Assistant State Attorney and tried a number of cases to verdict.
